A new chapter for Vega IT: The launch of our Amsterdam office
The clouds parted over Amsterdam just in time to celebrate a major new chapter for Vega IT: the launch party for our Amsterdam office.
Almost 200 people gathered on the 16th floor of the A’DAM Tower, overlooking the Amsterdam skyline, ensuring one of the best views in the city was reserved just for us.
This marks yet another step in Vega IT’s expansion into the global market, while also strengthening our position in the Netherlands, our second-largest market after the United Kingdom.
For us, this feels like an especially full-circle moment. Our very first client back in 2008 was based in the Netherlands. Since then, this market has continued to grow in both partnerships and impact, culminating today in a physical home.
For us, the Netherlands is not a new market. We have been building relationships here for almost 18 years. Today, it is our second-largest market after the UK. Opening our Amsterdam office felt less like entering a new country and more like strengthening a relationship that already existed for a very long time. I’m especially proud of Sjoerd van Gelderen, Sven Gude, Seth van der Maas and the whole team for how quickly they created momentum here.
This does not feel like a new beginning, but rather an extension of what is already in place, strengthening our relationships with existing clients and partners while continuing to expand our presence in the Dutch market.
By combining the hands-on approach of our Dutch team with the domain expertise of our development centres in Serbia, Montenegro, and Nigeria, we can respond more quickly, collaborate more effectively, and take greater ownership of outcomes, all while remaining fully aligned with our clients’ business and organisational contexts.
We believe there is immense potential in the Dutch market. As AI increasingly integrates into the SDLC, staying closer to the client is essential, making this decision even more significant for us, our clients, and our partners, both current and future.
This event was a great place to connect and reconnect with many individuals and companies. Representing nearly a thousand top-notch engineers, primarily from Serbia, in the Netherlands is a responsibility I take seriously. We are focused on building a team that is close to clients, emphasising product thinking, solutioning, and project management. As Vega IT continues to grow, this official foundation in the Netherlands positions us for further expansion. With the significant advancements we have made in applying AI in the software development lifecycle, having our team close to clients is more crucial than ever.
With views overlooking the Amsterdam skyline, this event brought up a lot of emotion for all of us, as the very first seed of the Vega IT we know today was planted right there in the Netherlands.
