Whitespace enables brokers and underwriters to manage the entire insurance placement process digitally. However, staying informed about important changes still required users to actively monitor the platform for updates related to risks, endorsements, declarations, and other contract lifecycle events.

While Whitespace already provides event notifications, security considerations prevent sensitive insurance data from being included in emails. As a result, notifications often lacked the business context underwriters needed to quickly understand what had changed and determine whether action was required.

MS Amlin wanted to eliminate this gap without compromising security. The goal was to extend Whitespace with a secure integration that could automatically detect key business events, retrieve the relevant information through the platform's APIs, and deliver enriched notifications to the right stakeholders.

By reducing the need for manual monitoring and providing greater visibility into critical underwriting activities, the solution would help teams respond faster and work more efficiently throughout the placement process.

As a Whitespace integration partner, we designed and developed a secure integration that extends the platform with automated, context-rich notifications tailored to MS Amlin's underwriting workflows.

The solution continuously monitors key events across the insurance placement lifecycle and automatically enriches them with additional business information retrieved through Whitespace APIs. Instead of sending generic alerts, it provides underwriters with the complete context they need to understand what has changed and whether action is required.

Each notification provides the relevant risk data and business context underwriters need to respond quickly and confidently. Using MS Amlin's business rules, the solution intelligently routes each notification to the appropriate stakeholders, ensuring the right information reaches the right people at the right time.
